I’m seeking at finding 1 for weight loss/general fitness. And was looking between these two models. The 240 has some further programs, a heavier flywheel and a color screen but I’m not sure if any of that will make any difference to me. Any person have the 220 and can offer some opinions?
I had hoped to discover both at a shop to compare but I cannot appear to find each at one location. They either have various combinations of the Schwinn models, but by no means those two side by side. If any individual knows a store in the Philly suburbs, I’d appreciate that too!
Thank you Bob, really there are a couple points about that. The price of the 240 is actually $ 450 most locations ($ 350 for the 220, and $ 400 for the older 230 model being phased out), Amazon appears to have ‘run out’ and it defaulted to 1 of their shops that has it at full retail, hence the $ 700 pricetag. The other factor I noticed was the alternatives you listed from the comparison chart seem inaccurate (not because of you), if you appear at the pictures of the console, the 220 has the Interval time, rpm, and so on listed as well. I noticed them prior to even though comparing the screens on the web.
Sorry about that, I ought to have mentioned those particulars as one of the reasons I was looking for someone that knew the models personally. As the facts listed on-line appear a bit suspect.

From what I see there is not that a lot difference and not enough to substantiate the hugh price difference. $ 350 verses $ 700 for the 240. The 240 will measure rpm’s and time, see the chart at the bottom of the page. Check the nearby ebay and Craig’s list for a employed 1, folks purchase these points all the time and they get used for a couple of weeks and that is it.
